Visa processing Requirements

CANADA

1. Application for Temporary Resident Visa (IMM5257E)

2. Family Information Form (IMM 5645)

3. Original passports and a copy of the passport bio-data page.

  • Passport should have a minimum of two blank visa pages and minimum 6 months validity. Your passport must be valid for the duration of your stay in Canada.

4. 2 pcs passport sized pictures

5. Proof of financial support to cover the expenses for the duration of your visit:

  • Bank Certificate and Bank Statement covering the past 6 months
  • Latest Income Tax Return

6. Letter of employment on official company letterhead specifying the following:

  • Your position, length of employment and income; the full address and phone numbers for the company and the name and position of the person signing the letter.

Self-employed persons

Provide business , proof of business income and income tax paid

Student

Provide Certificate of Enrollment and Photocopy of School ID

7. Proof of Purpose of Travel (as applicable)

  • details of your itinerary in Canada;
  • provisional travel arrangements (airline or hotel booking);
  • letter of invitation from the person or business you will visit;
  • registration at a conference, letter from your employer.

8. PSA Birth Certificate and Marriage Certificate

NOTE:

1. If you have traveled to Canada in the last ten (10) years or currently hold a valid United States nonimmigrant visa and can provide proof (entry stamps in passport, proof of the valid visa), no proof of financial support is needed.

  1. If you are not paying for your own trip:
  • Provide a letter signed by the person paying and a photocopy of their passport, or other official identification with photo and a bank certificate with statement proving that they have sufficient funds.
  • Proof of relationship to sponsor
  1. If invited by relative/friend:
  • Invitation letter which indicate complete address, contact details and email address in Canada
  • Copy of biographic page of passport
  • Proof of residency document

These documents must be dated within three months of the date on which the application is submitted.
